Our Story
Edyn Tueller grew up traveling with his father to golf tournaments, where his passion for improving at the game grew stronger with every round. Obsessed with finding ways to get better faster, Edyn often relied on a simple but effective drill: rolling putts down a ruler to check if the ball started on line. The drill worked, but the ruler itself had problems: it was flimsy, easy to knock out of place, and difficult to keep level without a sturdy base.
That frustration sparked an idea. What if the ruler could be sturdier and more versatile? Edyn envisioned a thicker version with a built-in putting plate that would address multiple aspects of putting at once. He added tee holes for a gate drill, designed slits that could double as stencils for alignment marks, and even created a circular design that naturally trained players to position their eyes directly over the ball.
For nearly three years, Edyn and his father worked together to sketch, prototype, refine, and perfect their idea. Every detail was tested and improved: the placement of tee holes, the size of the ball rest, the alignment of the logo with the golf ball, and the addition of magnets and anchor holes to keep the plate secure.
The result is The Ruler: a tool born from years of practice, persistence, and the shared love of golf between a father and son.
